After searching for a few weeks on AirBnb we found this incredible treehouse that made for the perfect location to elope! Derek and Moira LOVE being outdoors, and adventuring among the trees, and this location spoke right to their heart.
When I first met with Derek and Moira, they were excited to add a steamy element to their day, but slightly nervous, and not sure what to expect. Which is TOTALLY normal. I walked them through what their session would look like, feel like, and what they may want to include to make things more comfortable. I made sure the fridge had cold drinks, and a sugaring treats!
The best part about this Treehouse Venue is that it’s SUPER private. You have a to go a on a little walk to arrive at the house, and all you can see is trees and fields. I find having a very private location helps when adding a steamy element to your wedding day.
Vancouver Elopement
When we arrived to the treehouse we settled in with a drink and chatted about how they met, their life, the struggles and wins throughout their relationship, and before I knew it, they were cuddled up together on the bed, and it just became a natural transition into their session.
We spent some time cozying and cuddling for their steamy session, then they both got ready together and headed up to their ceremony spot. The AMAZING floral designer Twiggage & Bloom created this insanely beautiful floral instal for them to say their vows in.
We followed up with portraits overlooking the Fraser River, and of course take out via Skip the Dishes!

The beautiful part about a Vancouver Elopement is that you can do it at anytime of day, and day of the week. A lot of venues get booked up on weekends, and truly the world is your oyster when you’re eloping.
