I had the opportunity to travel down to Los Cabos Mexico to shoot Eva & Robins Destination wedding. These guys had the right idea, not only did we all jet down together from Vancouver, but Eva had put together an itinerary for everyone, from pool parties to boat tours. I got to spend the week hanging out with the guys and their whole crew, by the time the wedding came along I felt like family. Destination weddings can turn into something more than just celebrating your marriage. It’s a trip of a lifetime, surrounded by your closest people! Check out some Images from their day.

They kicked off their trip with a meet and greet dinner the first evening we all arrived. It gave all the guests and myself an opportunity to get to know each other. I ended spending most of the week with them, and this first meet was perfect. The resort was great at accommodating us all.
The RUI resort had so many pools, clubs and activity’s to keep us all busy! Including the most beautiful beach, where these two said I do. If you’re thinking of planning a destination wedding, one tip, try for an evening/sunset ceremony. It was super hot while these two got married. It was incredibly gorgeous, just very warm. Then again, thats why we were there wasn’t it?
Eva made sure she had all the traditional wedding items along with them! The resort provided a florist, but she brought jewelry, sparkly shoes and of course her gorgeous wedding gown.
All her details came together, and it truly was an amazing Los Cabos wedding. A few good friends, and all your family, add a beach and drinks and you’ve got yourself a party that you’ll never forget. Especially if you bring me, your wedding photographer, along.
Would I do a destination wedding? HECK YES. After this trip to Mexico, I think this is a fabulous option for those looking for a non traditional wedding. Check out The Riu Baja California!
