I truly love creating in The Oak Suite; it’s a great spot for a small dip into a big, adventurous, steamy shoot. These two booked about a year ahead of their session, and after many shifts and changes, we finally had the opportunity to create together, and it truly blew me away.
I get asked, almost every day, why I only shoot steamy sessions. Why don’t you do what everyone else does? Isn’t there more work, won’t you be busier? Truthfully, I don’t want to be “busy” I want to make time for my couples, allow them to get to know me, build trust, and then create ART, not just be the subject of a photograph. K & G and I went back and forth for months, talking, dreaming, planning, and finding the right time and place to have their session. Their session was over 2 hours, and we laughed, cried, had to take breaks. It was a once in lifetime experience that neither of them will ever forget. Nor will I.
I choose to invest my time every day in each client who comes to me. I’m able to hold space for them to share their dreams and Ideas and then take our time putting them together carefully. That old saying “You can’t rush art” really sits with me, and the more space I hold for my couples, the more free and comfortable they feel. I then also get to enjoy my personal life, allow myself to breath so I can have a clear and creative mindset. What I do sits very close to my heart, and i’ll continue to advocate for this experience.
